How are red spots treated at the Advanced Laser and Cosmetic Center?
For eliminating the appearance of red spots there is no more effective, efficient and safe method than the new Excel V Laser System from Cutera. This state-of-the-art technology utilizes a high power green laser light frequency that is absorbed by the pigment, eradicating red spots and restoring skin to its natural tone and color. Treatment is safe for all skin types and, in addition to red spots, the Excel V Laser is effective in eliminating or minimizing the appearance of: rosacea, spider veins, acne scars, port wine stains, brown spots, blemishes, and other vascular conditions. The Excel’s results have earned it a rare 100% positive rating by patients who’ve used it on the “realSelf” cosmetic review website.
What can I expect during and after treatment?
This is a quick (usually 15 to 30 minutes) and simple procedure that generally involves no pain. Anesthesia is not required. Instead, only a cooling gel is applied to the skin. Next, the Excel V laser handpiece is placed over the treatment site. It emits pulses of laser light to the skin and does its magic. The laser’s light frequency is absorbed by the pigment, reducing the visibility of the discoloration. Following treatment, there may be some temporary redness at the treatment site, but this will go away within a couple of days. There is no downtime. Patients are free to resume their normal activities immediately after their treatment, but should be sure to keep the treatment area protected with sunscreen.
How many treatments will I need to eliminate my red spots?
Superficial red spots and diffused redness are the easiest skin flaws to remedy with the Excel V laser. Often significant improvement is seen after only one treatment. If necessary, follow-up appointments can be scheduled to achieve more dramatic results.
